BCP Bank (Mauritius) inaugurates its new Head Office
BCP Bank (Mauritius), a subsidiary of the Pan-African Banque Centrale Populaire Group (BCP), inaugurated its new head office in Telfair, at the heart of Moka Smart City, on 18 June 2026. The ceremony was held in the presence of the Governor of the Bank of Mauritius, Dr Priscilla Muthoora Thakoor. The inauguration marks a significant milestone in the Bank's development and reflects Groupe BCP's lasting commitment to Mauritius — a strategic financial centre at the crossroads of Africa, Asia, the Middle East and the wider world.
This move reflects a long-term vision to support the Bank's growth, sustain its ambitions and offer a quality working environment to its teams. The choice of Telfair – the first neighbourhood in Africa to be LEED-ND certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design – Neighborhood Development) – also underscores the Bank's commitment to sustainable development.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by leading figures from Mauritius' financial and institutional sectors, including Dr Priscilla Muthoora Thakoor, Governor of the Bank of Mauritius; Mrs Sangeetha Ramkelawon, Chief Executive Officer of BCP Bank (Mauritius); members of the Bank's Board of Directors; and numerous clients, partners and representatives of major companies and industrial groups operating in Mauritius. The event was also marked by the presence of a Groupe BCP delegation led by Mr Othmane Tajeddine, Directeur Général Banque de l’International et Filiales Spécialisées and Chairman of the Board of BCP Bank (Mauritius), together with Mr Tarik Benassila, Directeur Exécutif Afrique Centrale et Océan Indien. This strong turnout reflects the strategic importance Groupe BCP places on its Mauritian subsidiary and confirms the growing role of Mauritius within its international network.
