Sangeetha Ramkelawon elected Deputy Chairperson of the Mauritius Bankers Association

Our Chief Executive Officer, Sangeetha Ramkelawon, was elected as one of the two Deputy Chairpersons of the Mauritius Bankers Association (MBA) on June 23, 2025 following its Annual General Meeting held on 23 June 2025. She will serve alongside the newly elected Chairperson Abrar Anwar, Managing Director & CEO of Standard Chartered Bank (Mauritius) Limited and Deputy Chairperson Thierry Hebraud, Chief Executive Officer of Mauritius Commercial Bank Limited.

The MBA plays a crucial role in advancing Mauritius' position as a leading International Financial Centre, fostering collaboration among banking institutions, and driving innovation in the financial services sector. The association works to enhance regulatory frameworks, promote best practices, and support the growth of Mauritius' banking ecosystem.
